Pinburgh 2014: Only 407 Days Away!

BAO!Pre-registration for Pinburgh 2014 will open this Friday, February 15, at 6:00 pm.

Just kidding.  But we are announcing several dates for upcoming tournaments, including the few first stops for the 2013 PAPA North American Circuit.

Pinburgh 2014 will be held March 28-30, 2014.  (In 2013, Pinburgh was moved to April due to the early Easter weekend, but is now back to the last weekend in March.)

The 2013 PAPA Circuit Final will be held March 27, 2014, the day before Pinburgh 2014.

The first four events on the 2013 PAPA North American Circuit are:

  1. Pinburgh 2013, at PAPA HQ in Scott Township, PA, April 12-14, 2013.  Fun, friends, and $60,000 in cash prizes.
  2. The Lyons Spring Classic, at Lyons Classic Pinball in Lyons, CO, May 10-12, 2013.  Lyons Classic Pinball is a family-owned business presenting Colorado’s largest public collection of well-maintained pinball games.  Format to be announced, but expect match play on games running from the early 60s to today. This should be a great event, so get ready!
  3. The Northwest Pinball Championships, in Marysville, WA (near Seattle), June 21-23, 2013.  The largest pinball tournament in the Pacific Northwest features open and classic divisions, and big bricks of cash for the champions.
  4. California Extreme, at the Santa Clara Convention Center in Santa Clara, CA, July 13-14, 2013.  This tournament is run in conjunction with a larger arcade show.  The pinball tournament features multiple divisions for varying skill levels and a classics division.

More information about each tournament will be available soon, and we will post more of the 2013 Circuit schedule over the coming weeks.  The 2013 Circuit will have one tournament per month for 12 months, and players’ six best results are eligible for Circuit points.

Let us know what questions you have, and thanks!

Hmmm…. I wonder why Dragon has been put under the spotlight in the associated picture.

Could it be related to the new tournament that’s going to be held on Thursday morning (along with the other games shown)???

And what does “BAO” stand for?

If NWC is going to be even half as awesome as it was last year, I hope we can get videos for the whole quarters and semis this time around.
