Target Pool Time!

It’s time for a little electromechanical action. Four players battled on Target Pool during the Division “A” Quarterfinals at Pinburgh.

Player 1: Brian Bannon
Player 2: James Fordham
Player 3: Jorian Engelbrektsson

Cool. My favorite short-flipper EM, though the one I play has a more medium tilt. I usually go for lighting the 100 point bumper and only shoot the 300s on the sides to try and get the ball back in the upper playfield.

I’m digging the static display stats of top scores & the current player, they’re really nice.

Great to see some EM action on here and I really hope there is more on the way. I hear people lamenting about short ball times on newer Stern €˜drain monsters’. Here we have 15+ balls played in under 10 minutes by 4 amazing players. Are modern games getting too distracted by fun toys and relatively complex rules? Here we seem to have i) complete rollover lanes to light pop bumper for 100 instead of 10, ii) hit upper targets to light lower targets for 300 instead of 50. You can create a fun game that will challenge the worlds best with basically 2 rules! Do light shows, animations, and moving toys make a game fun? Or do you need challenging shots, that when made, really feel good.
