Stern’s ACDC looks like it will be a quality tournament game for years to come.

No wizard mode, eh? Been a while since I saw a new game without one…

Bowen, I really appreciate the effort you guys make to create these videos. They are really helpful especially in pointing out things that aren’t obvious to most, like some of the rules that aren’t clear in the games. BTDK is a prime example …

I would have never really thought about matching the mode to the multiball … But it makes good sense indeed. I just played a game using this technique, bang 250m and 4th top score straight off the bat.

    Thanks Bowen!

    Dave.

Is the video from the Gameworks tournament mentioned around the 5:40 mark available online?

It will likely be up later this week. It would be up now, but Vimeo has an upload quota each week, and I’ve hit it.

I may be wrong but I think there is a wizard mode. You have to complete all of the song modes. I think it’s called Encore, never got there, and it’s a very risk thing to try to go for, but I think it does exist.

The Encore mode is not yet programmed. Like early editions of Spiderman and Batman, Encore currently awards a point score instead of a wizard mode.

No the Encore mode is programmed. You must complete the three multiballs. And the other wizard mode for the jukebox don’t exist.

Awesome tutorial as always. Can you make a Lethal Weapon 3 in the near future?
It’s the only machine I have access to, and I would like to suck just a little bit less.

Amazing video. You got a 7 way combo like its nothing! ACDC is one of the most addicting pins I have played. So many different ways to play it. Stack the multi balls like BSD. Change the songs. Stay on a song. Hammer the BELL for 3x. Explore the 12 modes.

And my kids love it. I couldnt believe when my 3 year old (Luke)got EB, Special, Stacked MB and 35 Mil! Glad it was on video or no one would believe me.

Also try soft plunging the Extra Ball.

The ACDC Pro deserves a video also.

    Thanks for the vid!

I watched it twice, but I still don’t understand how to cash in the song jackpot which grows with everymode til the end of the ball. I saw Bowen got it on the second ball with the cannon, but how to make it available ? Is it reset once you cash it in ?

Spell FIRE with inlanes to activate cannon modes and cash in.

Pretty sure you load the cannon by shooting the right ramp after you collect the fire letters by rolling over the unlit inlane/outlane switches. Then collect the jackpot by hitting the lit drop target from the cannon.

Don’t think that’s correct. Spelled fire several times yesterday and got all kinds of shoots for like loops, lane jackpots etc. But only first time I got to get the song jackpot. After that I didn’t get it for another 10-15 tries after spelling fire.

OK, played again a few hours on the pro on route here (old code): I cannot figure the various “cannon modes”. What are the difference between cannon volley, fodder and the third one ? How to change between the three ? And how to know when the song jackpot is available ?

From the game I played, I would think that the song jackpot is available on the cannon after a multiball (provided it’s lit by the inlanes/outlanes of course), but I guess it’s not that simple. Is it because I completed the song during the multiball ?
